24 March 2018: Kings Hill 3 v BayCity Strollers 2

BayCity started well and strung together a number of good passing moves and the Kings Hill keeper was kept busy making saves and parrying shots out for corners.  Rob found himself with time and one-on-one with the keeper, but was unable to get the ball in the net.

After 10 minutes or so, Lawrence, our keeper, had hardly touched the ball, but a Kings Hill break and shot nicked the post and went in!  Totally against the run of play!

Further pressure from BayCity kept the Kings Hill keeper busy again, and following a corner Peter Cadogan rifled the ball into the net to equalise.

Kings Hill then hit the inside of our post, and the score was 1-1 at half time.

In the second half, Kings Hill scored two goals in quick succession, leaving us to play catch up.

We pulled one back from a Peter Cadogan penalty, after a Kings Hill player went into their penalty area.  We also hit the post and their keeper made a good save from Rob.

But it was not to be our day, and a 3-2 defeat was the final score
