We just about came out on top in our return friendly against a very youthful and ever improving Ramsgate side today in a high scoring encounter. We started really well keeping possession and pushing our opponents backwards with some excellent passing which enabled Rob to stride forward on two occasions to put us firmly in control, we were a little bit unfortunate to concede just before the break when some strong play from Andy enabled him to be first to a rebound to cut the deficit.

The second half started very poorly with a tactical switch failing miserably, we were very soon on the wrong side of a three two score line, we went back to the formation that was serving us well in the first and gradually wrestled back control of the game, Rob scored a superb equaliser flicking the ball up to volley in to the top corner. The victory was sealed when Les had a good effort deflected wickedly to give us the win.

On the whole we played pretty well with the goals conceded a little bit on the unfortunate side, our passing was good and even when we went behind we didn’t panic and kept possession well probably just about deserving the win.
