Our first pre season friendly was played in an excellent spirit and well refereed by Tony Old.

Kevin made his debut and celebrated with a goal just before half time, prior to this Les had grabbed a couple of goals early on to put us firmly in control. Some of our first half play was excellent as we kept control with some neat passing and moving to dominate possession, Rob in the opposition goal had his work cut out keeping us out and made a number of smart saves.

The second half was more even as Ramsgate pulled a goal back, something we really shouldn’t have allowed and could have stopped before the effort was taken.

The goal of the game restored our three goal advantage as Les gave the keeper no chance as he finished high in to the top corner.

We conceded a penalty to complete the scoring near the end.

A good all round performance especially in the first half with plenty of positives but still a few things to work on to tighten us up.
