The last BCS Kent League match of the season away at Margate.

 

Playing 6-a-side on the small pitch at Margate was as usual very cramped. Margate had the better of the first half and deserved to be 2-0 up at half time. Chris and Bruce came off with Rob and Kevin coming on for the second half. The changes immediately bought about an improvement in our play and Peter Candy pulled a goal back with a low shot beating the keeper. Rob scored our equaliser from a deflected free kick, and then Peter scored our third. So we were 3-2 up with 10 minutes left!

 

 

Margate looked a bit tired at that stage, but they managed to get an equaliser…………. and then with a minute or so left they scored a 4th with a hard shot which went through Steve’s legs.  Kevin had earlier had a goal disallowed, I think for running off the ball by Peter. It was all a bit ping-pong football and the match could have gone either way. But it was not to be, and the score remained 4-3 to Margate. 

 

 

And so ended the season…………..
