BayCity Strollers extended their unbeaten run in 2018, with a 3-3 draw at home to Kings Hill!

 

Kings Hill took the lead with a deflected shot leaving Lawrence with no chance to save.  Martin Millbank equalised with a shot, which the keeper could only parry and the momentum let it through his legs.  A right footed toe poke from Chris Le Corney, chasing a back pass, gave us a 2-1 interval lead.

 

Kings Hill equalised early in the second half, and then went ahead a couple of minutes from the end. 

 

However we fought back, and a quickly taken free kick on the edge of Kings Hill’s penalty area to an unmarked Steve Woodward on the far side of the box …….. and he crashed a shot back across the keeper into the net.  A last minute equaliser!

 

We probably played some of our best football so far in this match, and managed at times to string some good passing movements together.  

 

All in all, a draw was a fair result, and we look forward to our next match v Herne Bay on 29th January!
