On a lovely sunny morning we took on new opposition in Whitstable, in a fairly quiet first half there were very few chances with Whitstable setting out a very defensive game plan which ultimately left us very frustrated as we failed to get going. Our passing and movement never really clicked in to place and we struggled to impose ourselves.

A quick chat in the interval put things right as we had a much improved second half performance making chances with our overall play being much sharper and controlled. We eventually took the lead despite the best efforts of the Whitstable keeper along with the crossbar or post thwarting our improved momentum, with George getting the only goal of the game with a calm finish in to the corner.

On the whole a good performance even though it would have been nice to get a few more goals in a game played in the right spirit, again superbly refereed by Chris Smith.  We look forward to playing the same opponent in the upcoming league campaign.
