Our last game before the league splits in to two was to see the Strollers ultimately earn a well deserved and reasonably comfortable three points. It was nice to see a couple of familiar faces in our opponents ranks and for the second game in succession the match was played in the right spirit, both teams played good competitive walking football.

The first half was again to see us finish with a two goal advantage, Chris was our first goal scorer as he was the quickest to react to Kevin’s rebounding effort and his trusty left foot put us ahead, Kev then put us two up with his seventh goal in consecutive games powerfully driving in to the corner after a flowing front to back move. We gave very little away in the half as we kept the Bees under pressure and they rarely got near our goal with only one or two speculative long range attempts to trouble us, despite our dominance we had to be content with the two nil half time score.

On another day we could have improved our goal difference quite considerably, several moves just fell down or were well kept out by the away keeper. We did eventually get our third as George was rewarded for his recent fine form with a neat finish high in to the net. Again we dominated possession although Lawrence was to be a little bit busier as the half progressed. First a scrambling save to scoop the ball off the goal line and then a quite outstanding stop to maintain our first clean sheet of the season.

Our three goals today were also to see us at long last have a positive goal difference for the first time in the season.

Looking forward to the league split we will undoubtedly have some tough encounters ahead as we are guaranteed to finish in the top half, we will however enter in to these matches with a will to be victorious, adding to our points tally and finishing as high as we possibly can.

As previously said this was another game played in the right spirit well controlled by Chris Smith.
