So on a typically British summers day we arrived with waterproofs and brollies ready as the weather changed from rain to windy to sunny with plenty of quick changes through the day.

This was the first of what will be an annual event and over the weekend £2050 was raised for MND, well done everyone involved.

As for the football our results weren’t brilliant, we did learn a valuable lesson in that for future tournaments we do need a full fit squad to be able to compete over the competition. It didn’t help that we seemed to be on the end of a few bizarre refereeing decisions, to be fair one of the officials was excellent, unfortunately we only had him for two of our eight matches. Our goal scorers were Rob, Kevin and George as we finished seventh out of nine (very Star Trek).

To sum up we all really enjoyed ourselves even though results didn’t go our way, great to be involved as a fantastic amount was raised.
