Our first game back in the new year and on a very cold morning it was Deal town the visitors to Baypoint.

3  X 15min thirds\halves were the the order of the day and BayCity didn’t get going at all on the first lot . Shot after shot reigned on the BayCity goal and a few wide too but the BCS keeper Glenn produced save after save to keep it level.

0-0 after the first 15 minutes.

2nd third started much the same with the Deal centre midfielder producing more step-overs than a Ronaldo training school, BayCity finally woke up with both Ada and Phil going close. Deal then clocked up their 4th running offence and Ada tucked away the penalty.

1-0 Bay City at the end of the 2nd third.

From kick off in the last 15 BayCity dominated with some fantastic football which led to Ian laying on a lovely pass to Jason who hit a lovely early shot well saved by Deal’s keeper but debutant
Mark “El Bambino ” Handley smashed in the rebound. BayCity carried on with the quick passing football when Jason found Rob who totally threw the defence and keeper with a cheeky back heel to Ada who had the empty net in front him but ….. How did he miss it ??

Deal grabbed a deserved consolation with the last kick of the game, 2-1 to BayCity.

A hard fought game against stubborn and worthy opponents.
