What an enjoyable way to spend a morning, to keep it brief this was the first competitive / friendly between the age groups of our league teams.  Both teams played some good stuff, however, the youngsters took the lead midway through the first half as Ada opened the scoring. Tony O capitalised on a loose ball out to equalise, before an opportunity for the lead to be retaken was missed when a penalty kick was wide of the mark.

The second half began with the old boys foiling a cunning plan of the 50s of hiding the ball in the trees behind the goal. Les then capped a fine individual performance as he put the old timers in the lead, it was looking like the combined team was going to hold out for the win until Dave found the net to make it an honourable draw.

A penalty shootout then took place as the whites (60s/65s) came out on top 5-2.

Big thanks to everyone who turned out and to Simon for keeping everything under control, something we need to do again when the opportunity arises.
