Last game of the season and to be fair it felt like it, a four nil beating certainly wasn’t the game plan, two down at half time to a couple of well taken goals, again we had our chances but just didn’t have the accuracy of our visitors. Two late goals conceded right at the end of the game made the final score seem comfortable for the Reds but for the majority of this half we were on the front foot but just couldn’t get the all important goal to put us back in the contest.

Thanks to everyone for their commitment throughout the season and especially to those that have played three games in four days (including the 60s game), some also played with injuries, in addition today Will and Gordon for coming along to offer their support.

Just to finish, this first over 65s season has been enjoyable and we definitely have something to work with and improve, a good squad, that with a bit of practice will get better, it’s been a real pleasure to be involved, onwards and upwards.

Finally thank you Simon for refereeing, we all appreciate it is a thankless task, good calm performance that puts the players at ease and less likely to misbehave.
