A very windy Mother’s day saw a very depleted BCS visit the mariners for this league game .
Both teams started well and was end to end but BCS settled down and totally dominated the first half with efforts from Phil, Nick W, Dave and Kingy kept their keeper very busy, but the Strollers just couldn’t get a breakthrough.

The second half started the same with constant pressure . Mariners showed they were still in the game testing Dom a couple of times.

An enforced change caught the Strollers napping while trying to reshape and The Mariners capitalised with a smart finish … This took the stuffing out of the visitors as they couldn’t find their rhythm and the game petered out for a 1-0 loss.

 

It was definitely a game of 2 halves as the depleted Strollers put a great shift in the first half and the changes made the difference . Special mention to my MOM  Phil who had one of his better games and at times was having his own game with their keeper . We had only 1 running offence today, so credit for that.

 

Herne Bay away next week before Margate on Easter Sunday.
